Now she's the face of International Fashion Week on the Sunshine Coast, taking on the role of Model Ambassador.

"I was surprised that I won but I had done the fashion week previously; this is the fourth year I've done it," she said.

"Because I have that experience I thought I may as well go for the role and step it up a little bit."

Breanna, 19, started modelling when she was 16 after doing a self development course.

She was later scouted by Hunter Model Management and last year signed to Das Models in Italy.

"Last year in February I travelled to Milan and lived there for three months with a group of models in a model house. It was pretty exciting," she said.

"I did photo shoots. I didn't do any catwalk shows, but every day we had to go to the agency, get our information for casting for the day.

"Every day we were going to castings, it was full on."

Breanna said the model life really was as glamorous as it seemed.

"I enjoyed the experience over there, I'd love to go back and experience it again, even just travelling there," she said.

"People think modelling is really competitive, I find that a lot of the girls are so happy for each other and the jobs they get."

Breanna also had plans to head over to Asia, where her blue eyed, blonde haired look was highly sought after.

"I know a few girls who have gone over there and done well. I think that would be amazing to go to Asia," she said. "There are places like America but other places have looks for different girls, that's not my sort of industry. But I never know down the track, it changes all the time."
